About Us

Treasure Valley Homeschool Science Olympiad Teams (TVHSOT) are homeschool teams organized to participate in Science Olympiad. Founded in the fall of 2015 and based in Boise, Idaho, TVHSOT are building a reputation as top competitors in the state of Idaho. In 2017 and 2018, both divisions tooks first place at the state tournament, and in 2019 the high school team continued its streak and won for the third year in a row. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the 2020 season was cut short. In 2021, both teams again placed first at the State tournament. For further details, click here

* what we mean by "independently homeschooling" is not affiliated with any public, private, or charter school system or program, virtually or in-person, for primary instruction and/or reimbursement of curriculum, where the school/program is keeping the student records. Unfortunately, participation in programs like Overture, Tech Trep, Harmony, etc. fall under this category, and disqualify a student from participating on the homeschool team per National Science Olympiad rules. (Believe us, we would take you if we could!)
